In addition to its interesting monuments and natural attractions, it also has typical folklore and gastronomy. After celebrating Christmas, the first festivity is on January 20th, which is San Sebastian Day, patron saint of the village of Lojilla, and it is about 10 km from the town. Here people gather from all around and after they pay tribute to the Santo in its Ermita, they enjoy their verbena in the square and they taste the typical "Choto with garlic". On the night of 1 to 2 of February the Candelaria is celebrated with the traditional lumbres (fires). They have also recovered the carnivals, in which a contest of disguises is celebrated. Another party that has a lot of privilege in this town is the day of the cross, May 3, which stands out for its originality and hard work. The fair is celebrated in the beginning of the summer, the second weekend of June; But the party that stands out above all others in the patron saint's feast, celebrated in mid-August, are celebrated in honor of its Patroness: La Virgen de los Remedios. Also, this locality, has a great liking for flamenco. They proof this with some figures of this art and counts from the 9 of August of 1980 with a flag that bears the name of its local cantaor par excellence: Manuel Ávila.

Some of the town's traditional foods are cheese and oil. Also worth mentioning  the Manteca rolls, the San Antonio rolls, the sugar cakes, the turrolate (typical Montefrío nougat) and the cold meat.
